Useful Travel Information for Nepal and Tibet

Useful information for a Nepal and Tibet tour includes:

Best time to Travel: For those considering a combined tour of Nepal and Tibet, we highly recommend planning your visit between April and November. Visiting during the winter months, from December to February, is less advisable, especially if you intend to reach altitudes of 5200 meters.

Travel Documents and Visas: Make sure your passports are up to date. Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, you can easily obtain a Nepal visa, and we'll assist you in obtaining a Tibet Group visa.

Travel Insurance: Purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and other unexpected situations.

Vaccinations and Health Precautions: Consult your healthcare provider for recommended vaccinations and take necessary health precautions. Altitude sickness can be a concern, so acclimatization is crucial.

Currency: Currency exchange is readily available in Kathmandu for most currencies. However, for your Tibet journey, we recommend carrying Chinese Yuan. While credit cards are accepted in many places, having cash on hand is a convenient way to navigate these regions.

Altitude Considerations: Be prepared for high altitudes, especially in Tibet. Acclimatize gradually to minimize the risk of altitude sickness.

Weather and Clothing: Pack clothing suitable for the weather during your visit. Nepal and Tibet can experience extreme temperature variations, so dress in layers.

Internet and Communication: Internet access may be limited in remote areas. Purchase local SIM cards or international roaming plans if needed.

Responsible Tourism: Respect the environment and local communities. Dispose of waste properly and avoid activities that harm the natural beauty and culture of the region.

Remember that travel requirements and conditions can change, so it's essential to stay updated and plan accordingly before embarking on your Nepal and Tibet tour.
