Upper Dolpo Trekking

Upper Dolpo is high altitude part of Dopa district of Western Nepal which is remote and wilderness area. Dolpo region is bordered in the north by the Tibet region of China. Thus the culture, lifestyle, people and tradition of this area are similar to Tibetan people.  The walking holiday for this beautiful land start from Juphal. You will get there after taking the domestic flight from Nepalgunj.  The unexplored and less touristic area has various lakes and amazing waterfalls along the trail. Shey Phoksundo Lake is one of the most popular spot of the trek which is situated at an altitude of 3,611.5 m. The fresh water lake can’t make your eye blink.  The region is influenced by BON religion which is a part of Tibetan Buddhism. Kang La (5,240m) pass ,  Shey Gompa (4280m.), Lnag La (5002m ),  Sime Gaon (3950m.) & Yak Kharka (4780m ) are the highlighted places along the trial.  The camping trek is suitable for you if you want to spend your walking holiday in the hidden part of the world which makes you feel that you are in the different world.  The walking in the trail is starts from juphal and ends in Jomsom so the most of trekkers called it “Dolpo to Jomsom trek”.
