Normally trekking to the Everest region will begin with exiting flight to Lukla at 2800 meter above sea level. This trekking trail passes through the picturesque Sherpa cultural villages of around together stunning mountain views. The local Sherpa’s cultures, tradition, villages and ancient monasteries added more flavor to your treks. Also learning about Buddhism influence in Sherpa’s life and traditional farming system will add marvelous and unforgettable experiences in your lifetime.

Short trek in Everest region starts from Kathmandu when you flight to Lukla airstrip. Then we walk From Lukla to  Namche bazaar the capital of Sherpa people. We also visit Tengboche Monastery,  Khumjung and Phakding villages and after finish the trek back to Lukla for flight to Kathmandu.

The itinerary for trekking to Tengboche Monastery has been perfectly designed on the basis of personal experience and well research done. This trek is also ideal for family, matured and slow trekkers to glimpse its natural beauties and experience the local culture.

Everest short trek itinerary:

Round trip – Namche Bazaar -Tengboche - Everest View Point

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport Nepal. Up on arrival meet our office representative at airport and transfer to hotel/ after refreshing complete the official formalities/ briefing about the preparation and rest of the day free for your own leisure/overnight at hotel in BB Basis.

Day 02: Early in the morning drive to airport and fly to Lukla (2800m). Up on arrival at Lukla have a breakfast and commence the trekking up to Phakding (2610m) and after 3 hour easy walking overnight at teahouse lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3500m) -About 4-5 hour hiking via Dudh Koshi river bank and ascending of Namche Hill you will be reached at remarkable town of Sherpa land Namche Bazaar which is the largest and most prosperous settlement in the Khumbu valley. It is also a historical trading center of the region- foods, salt, clothes and other stuffs are shopped by locals. Late afternoon visit the town and overnight at teahouse lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 04: Trek Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3870m) - From Namche Bazaar the trail climbs up and down to Sanasa and the trail descends gradually to Teshinga and then it drops steeply to Phunki Thanga there you will be crossing Dudh Koshi river. After climbing two hour from Phunki Thanga you will reach at Tengboche. Tengboche is a religious place for the Sherpa people of the entire Solukhumbu area. Here you will visit the Tengboche Monastery which is one of the biggest one of the region. During the fullmoon in November the monastery celebrates famous Mani Rimdu festival. For your overnight stay there at teahouse lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 05: Trek to Khumjung Sherpa Village, This is the largest settlement village in the Sherpa land where you will have chance to see real Sherpas’ life style and their cultural activities, The village has also a high school which is funded by Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation and also an old monastery where they have preserved famous Yeti skull. Exploring around and enjoy incredible views of peaks. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 06: Trek back to Phakding/Jorsale, the trail again drops to Namche Bazar and have a short tea/coffee stop and continue descending via same route  and on the way stop for the lunch break an hour at Jorsale Village. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 07: After breakfast from Phakding Village trek back to Lukla via same route again, be refreshed, have a lunch and rest at tea house lodge or afternoon free for personal activities and overnight stay there at teahouse lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 08:  Early in the morning, transfer to airport and fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu, end the trip and transfer to hotel, rest and afternoon free for personal activities. Evening fare well dinner with culture show at Nepalese Traditional Kitchen you will be enjoyed very authentic way of Nepalese hospitalities and overnight at hotel in BB Basis.

Day 09: After breakfast transfer to airport for final departure or proceed for onward program. We also organize many different sorts of activities- whitewater rafting, wildlife safari tour, Tibet, Bhutan & India tour and more as you wish to have for onward destination.

We also offer mini trekking in Everest region for 7 days if you really want to see the close views of Mt. Everest region & feel the Sherpa culture.
