Nepal and India Buddhist circuit tour design for those who want to follow the Buddha steps. Nepal, the land where Lord Buddha was born is popular destination for Buddhist pilgrims. The Largest Stupa of Budhha, Boudhanath stupa & Swayambhunath Stupa in Kathmandu valley are popular Buddhist sites to visit in your lifetime. After couples of day visit of Buddhist sites in Kathmandu, we will takeyou to the greatest Buddhist site and birth place of Lord Buddha “Lumbini”. You will stay in couples of night in Lumbini and we will try to cover all monastery and historical places of Lumbini in the tour.  Then our guide will take to another country (India) where Lord Buddha got enlightenment & parinirvana.  In India site we will take you to Vanarasi, Bodhgaya (Where Lord Buddha were Enlightened), Rajgir (Gautam Budhha meditating for several months) &  Kushinagar (The last place of Lord Buddha). From Kushinagar, we will take you to Nepal part Kapilvastu for a day visit and back to India part for overnight stay at Sravasti.  Another day we will drive to Bhairahawa (Nepal) and take a domestic flight for Kathmandu and another day you will depart from Nepal.

Lumbini (The birthplace): Lumbini lies in southern Nepal, where Queen Mayadevi gave birth to Prince Siddhartha. A short distance from the Shakya capital of Kapilavastu. Pilgrimages center are sacred garden which contains the site of the birth, the Mayadevi temple, the Pashkarni pond and the Ashoka pillar.

Bodhgaya (Enlightenment): It is located at Bodhgaya in Bihar, Prince Siddhartha attained Enlightenment (nirvana) under the Bodhi tree , meditating for 49 days. He is no longer a bodhisattva (mentor), he became Lord Buddha, the Enlightened One.

Sarnath (First sermon): After attainment of enlightenment, Buddha gave his first sermon at Sarnath. It is situated about 10 km from the ancient holy city of Varanasi. he made his first disciples (Sangha) to promote his new doctrine. The splendid Dhamekha Stupa at Sarnath was originally erected by King Ashoka, now known as was the famous lion capital pillar.

Kushinagar (Parinirvana): Lord Buddha fell ill and left this world in 543 BC at Kushinagar.His mortal remains were preserved in eight commemorative Chortens, and then further distributed by King Ashoka to 84,000 stupas across his kingdom and beyond.

Nepal India Buddhist tour itinerary

Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel. O/N Hotel.

Day 02: Morning tour of Bouddhanath, Swyambhunath & Patan Durbar Square. O/N Hotel.

Day 03: Flight to Bhairahawa and 30 mins drive to Lumbini. O/N Hotel.

Day 04: Sightseeing tour of Lumbini - visit Maya Devi Temple, Ashok Pillar, Lumbini Garden, sacred pond & other ruins. O/N Hotel.

Day 05: Explore around Lumbini. O/N Hotel.

Day 06: Explore around Lumbini. O/N Hotel.

Day 07: Drive Lumbini to Varanasi. (6 to 7 hours drive) O/N Hotel.
