The most beautiful Hiunchuli Peak (called Himchuli as well - 6441m) is also located at heart of the Annapurna Base Camp. It is always offers magnificent view to the every trekker those who are visiting Annapurna. The peak is attached with Annapurna South and entire ridge is separated by Modi Khola. It is not a big technical climbing peak of Annapurn region but vulnerable to rock fall which makes disaster. American Peace Corps Expedition group had first climbed Hiunchuli in October 1971via the southeast face. Due to rock fall it has very few summit records comparison to other peaks.

Himalayan Mentor has suggested itinerary to climb this peak is combined with normal Annapurna Base Camp trekking and it is also the linked with the same trekking trail. Your climbing trip will be like normal trekking days and our itinerary is designed as to fit you acclimatize well. Other important technical instruction will be instructed by our climbing expert during the stay of base camp.

Hiunchuli peak climbing itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport Nepal. Up on arrival meet our office representative at airport and transfer to hotel/ after refreshing complete the official formalities/ briefing about the preparation and rest of the day free for your own leisure/overnight at hotel in BB Basis.

Day 02: Permit preparation day - You will get briefing about the peak this day/overnight at hotel in BB Basis.

Day 03: Fly or Drive from Katmandu to Pokhara approximately (7-8 hrs.) by bus or fly to Pokhara, 30 min by STOL flight and transfer to hotel overnight in (BB Basis).

Day 04: After breakfast early morning transfer to trailhead Nayapul (1070m) and trek up to Tikhedhunga (1540m, 4-5 hrs) /overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 05: Trek Tikhedhunga (1540m) to Ghorepani (2850m, 6-7 hrs) /overnight at teahouse(All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 06: Early morning climb up Poon Hill (3210m, 1-1:30 hrs) for sunrise with magnificent snow capped mountain views  and trek to Tadapani/Chuile(2600m, 5-6 hrs) /overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 07: Trek Tadapani/Chuile(2600m) to Chhomrong (2170m, 4-5 hrs) /overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 08: Trek Chhomrong (2170m, 4-5 hrs) to Dovan (2500m)/overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 09: Trek Dovan (2500m) to Deurali (3200m, 5-6 hrs)/overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 10: Trek Deurali (3200m) to Annapurna Base Camp-ABC 4130m, 4-5 hrs / meet all the climbing staff members/overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 11: At Annapurna Base Camp meet all the climbing staff members/ check it all the climbing gear and climbing instruction and overnight at teahouse lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served by our own kitchen team)

Day 12, 13 & 14: Attempt summit to the Himchuli Peak (6441m) and after summit back to base camp/have a lunch and overnight at teahouse lodge (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served by our own kitchen team)

Day 15: Trek Annapurna Base Camp-ABC 4130m to Bamboo (2300m, 6-7 hrs) /overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 16: Trek Bamboo (2300m) to Jhinu (Hot Spring 1780m. 5-6 hrs)/overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 17: Trek Jhinu (Hot Spring 1780m) to Ghandruk (1900m, 4-5 hrs)/overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 18: Trek Ghandruk (1940m) to Nayapul (1070m, 4-5 hrs) drive back to Pokhara and transfer to hotel. (Breakfast will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 19: Next day drive from Pokhara to Katmandu approximately (7-8 hrs.) by bus or fly to Kathmandu, 30 min by STOL flight as you wish to have in your package, transfer to hotel, late noon shopping souvenirs around market and typical Nepali dinner party with culture show.

Day 20: Transfer to airport for International departure or if you wish to have onward programs- wildlife safari tour, whitewater rafting/ kayaking, paragliding, sightseeing or visiting main tourist attraction of around please let us know we are happy to organize as you wish.

Cost Includes

  • Airport transfers - pick up and drop upon arrival and departure 
  • Entry permit, peak permit & garbage deposit
  • Supporting staffs (trekking guide and porter), as well as their necessary insurance, and accommodation meals allowance and salary
