Day 01: Arrival at IGI Airport Delhi, India
Arrival and Greetings at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Transfer to the hotel. Rest of day free for relax. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 02: Fly from Delhi to Leh
Early morning transfer to the airport to board on flight to Leh. On arrival at Leh, our representative will be there to welcome you and transfer to the hotel. After check in at the hotel, refresh and relax yourself. Evening take a sightseeing tour to the Leh Palace which is a former royal palace overlooking the Ladakhi Himalayan town of Leh. Head to Shanti Stupa which is a magnificent white-domed stupa dedicated to Buddhism and Leh Market which is a Tibetan Market selling lots of small stalls selling clothes, souvenirs, artificial jewellery and more.
Day 03: Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung La (Surface / 160 kms / 5 hrs.)
After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley via Khardungla. Reaching Khardung La, the team will get the opportunity to see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser Kangri Massif. Once done with exploring the Khardung La, drive to Nubra Valley which is a tri-armed valley offering tremendous scenery on a grand scale. Upon arrival in Nubra get check in at the hotel.
Day 04: Nubra Valley
Breakfast at Hotel. Drive to Hunder where the group will have the opportunity to ride on a Bactrian camel (double humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high altitude desert with snow-capped mountains on the horizon.
Returning back from Hunder, we will stop at Diskit which is an old Buddhist Monastery, nestled magnificently on a hilltop facing the entire Nubra Valley. Stroll around the market and observe the shops and local people selling the products. Later drive back to hotel.
Day 05: Nubra Valley / Pangong Tso (274 kms / 8 hrs.)
After breakfast leave early for Pangong Tso via Shyok village. Pangong Lake in Ladakh is the highest brackish lake in the world located at a height of 14,256 feet above the sea level. Overnight Camp at Pangong Tso.
Day 06: Pangong Tso / Leh ( Surface / 225 kms / 6 hrs.)
Breakfast at camp and drive to Leh enroute visit Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Gompa, Shey Gompa.
Hemis monastery is about 45 kms south of Leh. It is one of the most famous and largest monasteries in Ladakh. This beautiful monastery belongs to the Drukpa order and was founded in the early 17′Th century. The setting is perfect with the monastery cradled in a lovely valley, surrounded by streams and fronted by long Mani walls.
Thiksey Gompa is located close to Shey and is about 17 kms from Leh. This monastery is considered to be one of the most beautiful monasteries in Ladakh and belongs to the Gelukspa order.
Shey Gompa is about 15 kms from Leh. It used to be the summer palace of the kings of Ladakh. There are lots of Stupas and Gompas built around the palace. Shey Gompa was built in the beginning of 17th century AD by Deldan Namgyal. One of the major attractions in Shey is the 12m Shakyamuni Buddha statue located inside the Dresthang Gompa. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Leh / Jispa (Surface / 335 Kms / 10 hrs.)
Breakfast at hotel drive to Jispa En route, relish the mesmerizing views of high mountains peaks and gorgeous valleys. As you will reach Baralacha La, the views of snow-crowned mountains and stunning meadows will get more exotic.
Day 08: Jispa / Manali (Surface / 138 Kms / 5 hrs.)
After breakfast drive to Manali En route, savour the panoramic views of the hills, valleys and abundance of lush greenery. Drive along the Chandra River and adore the beautiful landscapes of Lahaul Valley, visit Vashishtha Temple. Upon arrival check into your Hotel.
Day 09: Manali / Shimla (Surface / 278 Kms / 10 hrs.)
After breakfast drive to Shimla. Shimla is one of the most popular hill stations of the North. The town is situated at an altitude of 6810 ft, initially chosen as a sanatorium for invalid European officers, but soon developed into a big hill town and became the summer capital of the country. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel in Shimla.
Day 10: Shimla / Chandigarh (Surface / 117 Kms / 4 hrs.) / Delhi ( Train / Dep 1810 hrs. / Arr 2250 hrs.)
Morning sightseeing to Ridge Maidan, Mall Road, and Christ Church and afternoon drive to Chandigarh. Upon arrival board on Shatabdi train from Chandigarh station to New Delhi Railway Station. Upon arrival at Delhi, transfer to the hotel.
Day 11: Departure
Checkout and transfer to IGI Airport for return flight.
