Makalu Base Camp Trekking Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, meet our representative at the airport and drive to the hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and trekking preparation
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar (1 hour)  and drive to the trailhead Num (1,980m/6,497ft) - 4 to 5 hours drive
Day 04: Trek from Num to Seduwa via the Arun River (1,500m/4,922ft) - 6 to 7 hours trek
Day 05: Trek from Seduwa to Tashigaon (2,100m/6,890ft) - 4 to 5 hours trek
Day 06: Trek from Tashigaon to Khongma Danda (3,500m/11,483ft) - 6 to 7 hours trek
Day 07: Acclimatization day in Khongma Danda
Day 08: Trek from Khongma Danda to Dobate (3,650m/11,975ft) via Shipton La (4,229m/13,874ft) - 6 to 7 hours trek
Day 09: Trek from Dobate to Yangle Kharka (3,557m/11,670ft) - 6 to 7 hours trek
Day 10: Trek from Yangle Kharka to Langmale Kharka (4,410m/14,468ft) - 5 to 6 hours trek
Day 11: Acclimatization day at Langmale Kharka
Day 12: Trek from Langmale Kharka to Sherson (4,500m/14,763ft) - 6 to 7 hours trek
Day 13: Trek from Sherson to Makalu Base Camp (4,900m/16,076ft) - 4 to 5 hours trek
Day 14: Explore around the Makalu Base Camp (Exploration day)
Day 15: Trek from Makalu base camp to Yangle Kharka (3,600m/11,811ft) - 6 to 7 hours trek
Day 16: Trek from Yangle Kharka  to Dobate (3,650m/11,975ft) - 6 to 7 hours trek
Day 17: Trek from Dobate to Khongma Danda (3,500m/11,483ft) - 5 to 6 hours trek
Day 18: Trek from Khongma Danda to Tashigaon (2,100m/6,890ft) - 4 to 5 hours trek
Day 19: Trek from Tashigaon to Seduwa (1,500m/4,922ft) - 5 to 6 hours trek
Day 20: Trek from Seduwa to Num (1,980m/6,497ft) - 5 to 6 hours trek
Day 21: Drive from Num to Tumlingtar - 4 – 5 hours
Day 22: Fly to Kathmandu - 1 hour flight
Day 23: Final departure from Kathmandu

Cost Includes

• Airport transfers - pick up and drop upon arrival and departure 
• Full board basis on the way of trekking- Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner -3 meals per day and overnight accommodation at Tea House or Lodge.
• Transportation- Private chartered vehicle  
• Necessary restricted area trekking permit, conservation and TIMS fee.
•  Supporting staffs (trekking guide, kitchen team and porter), as well as their necessary insurance, and accommodation meals allowance and salary
• 3- Nights accommodation in Kathmandu in BB basis before and after the trek.
• Wildness First aid kit pack for the trekking.

Cost Excludes

• Hotel in Kathmandu and extra days stay except mentioned in package.
• Food (Lunch & Dinner) before and after the trip in Kathmandu and along the bus journey.
•  Personal expenses such as laundry, telephone calls, alcoholic beverages, bottled drinks (including cold drinks and mineral), tips for guide, porters, kitchen & camping team etc.
• Travel insurance and emergency evacuation cost.
• Additional costs- extra days stay, incase of flight cancellation due to the natural calamities, bad weather forecast and other unforeseen circumstances
• Personal trekking gear for the trek.
