Classic Annapurna Circuit Trek

Classic Annapurna Circuit Trek

During the previous days (When the trek was open for trekkers), there was no road connection like nowadays and trekking was enjoyable on that time in the trail to circuit the Annapurnas and now which is recognized as “Classic Annapurna circuit trek”. It was known as round Annapurna trek but now road is connected to most of rural parts of Nepal (road not paved but enough to have a 4-wheeler drive) and the old popular hiking trail became classic trail. The trip begins an altitude of 1,100 meters and reaches an altitude of 5,416 meters on the Thorong La Pass by touching the edge of the fabled Tibetan plateau.  In this trail we will walk approximately 200 km around Annapurna Himalayas range. We will start the trip from Kathmandu and drive to Syange/Ghyarmuphat (1,130m) for nearly 10 hours.  Then we cross the various ethnic villages in the Annapurna foothills.  Most of walking days in the trip will be at Manang & Mustang districts and the trek will finish at Jomsom (2,743m). On the trip, we will cross the highest pass of Annapurna area Thorong-La pass (5,416m) and the holy place for both Buddhist and Hindu people, Muktinath (3,800m.) which are the highlights of the trip.  From Jomsom, we will take a flight to Pokhara (30 minutes) and rest of day can relax at Lake City of Nepal. Boating in Phewa Lake might be good for you after a long hike (You do not need to paddle yourself).

Still the trip is very fascinating for those who want to explore natural beauty and culture of mountain area and mountain people of Nepal. So let’s come and enjoy your walking holiday in one of the world’s classic trekking trail.
