Delhi Agra Varanasi Bodhgaya Kushinagar Tour Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in New Dehli (India )
Upon arrival in New Dehli meet tour guide representative in New Delhi airport and drive to Agra (220 kms, 4 hours).
Day 02: Agra sightseeing & fly to Varanasi
Sunrise tour to Taj Mahal. After breakfast visit Agra Fort, Itmad-ud-Daulah and Mehtab Bagh. Afternoon drive to Delhi and fly to Varanasi. Evening witness Holy Aarti at bank of Ganges.
Day 03: Visit Varanasi & Sarnath
Morning boat cruise at the river Ganges to observe the way of life of pilgrims by the Ghats. Return to hotel for breakfast. Later an excursion to Sarnath. Situated 10 km from Varanasi, Sarnath is one of the four most important Buddhist pilgrimage centres of India. It is the site where Buddha delivered his first sermon to his five disciples, preaching the middle path for attaining 'Nirvana'. Realizing the sanctity of the site, emperor Ashoka, in the 3rd century B.C. built some of the finest monuments and legacies. The 34-metre-high 'Dhamekh' Stupa stands as a remarkable structure.
Day 04: Drive from Varanasi to Bodhgaya
After breakfast, you will be taken on a road trip to Bodhgaya (6 hours). After checking into a hotel, you will be taken on a sightseeing tour that covers Bodhi tree, Maha Bodhi temple, Buddha statue and others. Apart from these Buddhist attractions, you will be taken to Ram Chura, Janki temple, SitaKund, Haleshwar Asthan and others.
Day 05: Drive from Bodhgaya to Patna via Rajgir
After breakfast drive to Patna. On the way you will be visiting Rajgir and Nalanda. Visit Saptaparni Cave, hot springs, the Vishwa Shanti Stupa at Rajgir and ruins of Nalanda University, Museum, temples and stupas at Nalanda. Then continue drive to Patna (3 hours).
Day 06: Drive from Patna to Kushinagar via Vaishali
After breakfast drive to Kushinagar and on the way make a visit of Vaishali. Vaishali derives its name from King Vishal and was the capital city of Lichchavi. One of the eight portions of Buddha’s relics is reverentially encased at the Vaishali Stupa, which was received after the Mahaparinirvana. Bhikshu Sangha was organized here by Buddha and was later handed over to his maternal aunt Maha Prajavati Gautami for further caretaking. After visiting Vaishali, drive to Kushinagar (235km, 6 hours).
Day 07: Fly from Kushinagar to Delhi and Final departure
After breakfast drive to Kushinagar airport and fly to Delhi. Trip Concludes
