Acclimatization on Langtang Gosaikunda Trek
During the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, we prioritize your safety and well-being, especially regarding altitude sickness. To ensure proper acclimatization, we have included two nights above 3500m. One of these acclimatization stops is at Kyanjin Gompa. While acclimatizing in Kyanjin Gompa, you will have the opportunity to explore the Kyanjin Gompa monastery, visit the cheese factory, or take a hike to the Tserko Ri Viewpoint. These activities help your body adjust to the higher altitude gradually.
Altitude sickness, or acute mountain sickness, can affect trekkers at higher elevations. It is essential to recognize the symptoms and seek immediate attention if they become severe. Our experienced trek leaders and guides are trained in first aid and will provide necessary assistance. To prevent altitude sickness, it is recommended to trek at a steady pace and stay hydrated by drinking at least 4 liters of water per day. If altitude sickness becomes severe, the best course of action is to descend immediately.
Your safety is our utmost priority, and we encourage you to communicate any signs or symptoms of altitude sickness to your trek leader or guide promptly.
