Gokyo Lake trek in Everest region probably takes you to the paradise from where you will enjoy the most fabulous Himalayan ranges of Mt. Everest (Khumbu) region. To experience the alluring Mountain View/ panorama and pristine Gokyo Lakes, Gokyo Ri (5357m) is the finest destination of the trip. Despite nature and the Himalayas, the trail, local Sherpa people and amazing Buddhism influenced culture will be seasoning on the trip. An adventure expedition to Gokyo Lake starts with exciting Himalayan flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Then the trial follows toward Phakding, Namche bazaar (3500m), Dole (4200m) & Machhermo (4470m) to reach Gokyo valley (4700m).
Gokyo Lake, the destination of our trip is a famous lake in Sagarmatha National Park (Everest) and it is situated at Khumjung VDC. The lakes in the lap of the Everest Himalayas range are significant for both Hindu and Buddhist as Hindu people take holy bath during the “Janai Purnima festival”, which usually occurs in the month of August.
From Gokyo Ri it is possible to see the various Himalayas including five +8,000m peaks: Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchanjunga, and Cho Oyu, which will really make you feel the adventure for lifetime. After exploring a day in Gokyo Ri, we will be back to Lukla in 4 days through Dole, Namche Bazaar and Phakding village. And the following day, we will take a morning flight to Kathmandu from Lukla to finish the trip. On this day during the evening out, you will be provided enjoyment in a very authentic way of Nepalese hospitalities with “Farewell Dinner”.
Gokyo Lake Everest panorama trek itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport Nepal. Up on arrival meet our office representative at airport and transfer to hotel/ after refreshing complete the official formalities/ briefing about the preparation and rest of the day free for your own leisure/overnight at hotel in BB Basis.
Day 02: Full day guided sightseeing around Kathmandu city- Historical Durbar Square area, Pasupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa & Swyambhunath Stupa which will take you to visit Nepal’s most popular attractions and lunch break will be during the tour at best restaurants available/overnight at hotel in BB Basis.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2800m), start trek to Phakding (2610m)/overnight at teahouse. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)
Day 04: Trek Phakding (2610m) to Namche Bazaar (3500m)/overnight at teahouse. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)
Day 05: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar (3500m)/overnight at teahouse. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)
Day 06: Trek Namche Bazaar (3500m) to Dole (4200m)/overnight at teahouse. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)
Day 07: Trek Dole (4200m) to Machhermo (4470m) /overnight at teahouse. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)
Day 08: Trek Machhermo (4470m) to Gokyo Lake (4700m)/overnight at teahouse. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)
Day 09: Explore around/morning visit Gokyo Ri (5357m)/overnight at teahouse. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)
Day 10: Trek back Gokyo Lake (4700m) to Dole (4200m)/overnight at teahouse. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)
Day 11: Trek back Dole (4200m) to Namche Bazar/overnight at teahouse. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)
Day 12: Trek back Namche Bazar to Phakding/overnight at teahouse. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)
Day 13: After breakfast from Phakding Village trek back to Lukla via same route again, be refreshed, have a lunch and rest at tea house lodge or afternoon free for personal activities and overnight stay there at teahouse lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)
Day 14: Early in the morning, transfer to airport and fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu, end the trip and transfer to hotel, rest and afternoon free for personal activities. Evening fare well dinner with culture show at Nepalese Traditional Kitchen you will be enjoyed very authentic way of Nepalese hospitalities and overnight at hotel in BB Basis.
Day 15: Transfer to airport for International departure
