Bhutan Druk path trek is an easy hiking trip to Bhutan which will take you the beautiful nature and amazing cultural villages along the trail. This hiking is an average altitude trip in-between 2400 to 4200 meters so every level of hikers can do this trip. The trip starts from Paro and ends in Thimphu after 6 days trekking. Druk path trekking itinerary
Day 01: Fly to Paro airport, up on arrival there meet our official tour operation representative, transfer to hotel, be refresh, brief about tour program and overnight at hotel.
Day 02: In Paro- full day guided sightseeing morning visit Drukgyel Dzong -Kyichu Lhakang the national museum of Bhutan. After visiting there have lunch and excursion trip to Taktsang Lhakang which allow you to explore various wonders of last Shangri La and overnight in hotel.
Day 03: Trek Paro to Jele Dzong- the trail follows above the Museum and gradually climb up to Jele Dzong 2590m, about 7 Km day hike and overnight at tented camp.
Day 04: Trek Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha-the trail takes you through thick alpine forest and rhododendron tree which allow you to explore wildness area. Campsite at the height of 2900m distance 10km.
Day 05: Trek Jangchulakha to Jimilangtso- on the clear day you can enjoy beautiful views of mountains and the valley. The campsite will be near the lake above 3350m about 11km distance day hiking and overnight at camp.
Day 06: Trek Jimilangtso to Phajoding. The trail continues with gradual climb. If weather permits, beautiful views of mount Gangkhar Phunsum can be seen. The campsite will be near the monastery above 3116m about 21 km distance day hiking and overnight at camp.
Day 07: Trek Phojoding to Thimphu- The trek to Thimphu is down hill through blue pine forest. Today you will trek about 8 Km, evening at leisure and overnight at hotel in Thimphu.
Day 08: Drive Thimphu to Punakha/Wangdi. Morning Thimphu sightseeing, visit Memorial Chorten, Painting School, National Library, Bhutanese Hand Made Paper factory. After lunch drive to Punakha across the Dochula Pass (Atl: 3050m) where one can see the beautiful views of Eastern Himalayan Ranges and overnight at hotel in Wangdi.
Day 09: Drive Punakha to Thimphu, visit Wangdi Dzong and later visit Punakha Dzong, which is the winter home of Central Monk Body. On the way back visit Chimi Lhakhang and then transfer to Paro and overnight at hotel.
Day 10: After breakfast get ready your luggage packed and drive to airport to catch the flight for departure from Paro airport.
