Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and have a scenic drive to Kerung town (Nepal Tibet Border). When you leave Kathmandu the drive goes through the beautiful Nepali countryside as you cross many small towns. In border (Rasuwagadi), Tibetan guide will welcome you and help you to complete the immigration formalities. Then take a short drive to Tibetan town Kerung (Gyirong).

After breakfast drive through uphill road to the Tibetan town Lhatse& Tingri. The drive goes through the highest plateau of the world which offers the typical view of Tibetan landscape and provides sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world. The most beautiful moment of the day will be when you wil witness of breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt. Cho Oyu (8201 M), Mt Shiishapangma (8012M) and from Tingri you will enjoy the stunning Mt. Everest view (8,848 M).

After breakfast you will enjoy the scenic drive crossing over Gyatchu La (5,220M) Pass, the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt Kailash bifurcates to the west. Around 4 hours drive takes you to the second largest city of Tibet “Shigatse”.

After breakfast you will make a cultural sightseeing to the Panchen Lama's Tashilhumpu Monastery which is one of the major attractions of Shigatse town. Then around 3 hours drive takes you to the Gyantse city where you will visit to the Kumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery. The design of the stupa tells you how intelligent were ancient Tibetan people.

This is one of the most beautiful days throughout the trip as you will drive through scenic Karola (5,010m), Kambala (4,749m), and turquoise Yamdrok Lake and the Tibetan lifeline river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo) to reach Tibetan capital Lhasa City.

Today’s visit will begin from Potala Palace which is the winter palace of the Dalai lama. It was put to use since the 7th Century by Tibetan Kings. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet. Then you will drive to Jokhang temple which was founded in the 7th century. Inside you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve. Outside, you can see pilgrims making prostrating in front of Jokhang Temple. Around the temple is Barkhor Street, where you can do Kora (a religious circle of a building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old Tibetan market.

After breakfast at hotel drive to Drepung monastery which is one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1416 by Jamyang Choge, one of the Tsongkhapa’s main disciples. You can visit biggest monastery kitchen inside the monastery and enjoy Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung. Then the visit continue to Sera Monastery which is also one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet and it’s most attraction is the Monks debate later afternoon. Beside that you will visit Tibetan religious scripture printing house, and witness of three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Lord Buddha.
