Day 1: Kathmandu to Kerung Border to Kerung (2,700 m) (175 KM, 7-9 hours)
Drive from Kathmandu through scenic Himalayan foothills, terraced farms, and river valleys toward the Nepal–Tibet border at Rasuwagadhi. After immigration formalities, continue into Tibet and drive to the beautiful town of Kerung (Gyirong), surrounded by green hills and snow-capped mountains.
Day 2: Acclimatization Day in Kerung (2,700 m) (Optional Walking: 1–2 Hours)
A full acclimatization day to adjust to the Tibetan altitude before continuing toward the higher plateau regions. Short walks around Kerung valley, local villages, and nearby hills are recommended to help the body adapt gradually. Optional, if you are interested, the guide will take you to visit Milarepa Cave (Namkading Cave).
Day 3: Kerung to Saga (4,450 m) (230 km, 6–7 Hours)
Drive across the vast Tibetan Plateau with spectacular views of snow peaks, open grasslands, yak herders, and turquoise lakes. Cross several scenic high passes before arriving at Saga, an important town in Western Tibet.
Day 4: Saga to Lake Manasarovar (4,590 m) (500 km, 8–9 Hours)

Day 5: Manasarovar to Darchen (4,670 m) ( 40 km,1–2 Hours)
Enjoy a peaceful morning at Lake Manasarovar before driving to Darchen, the base camp town for the sacred Kailash Kora. The afternoon is free for rest, acclimatization, and preparation for the trek.
Day 6: Trek from Darchen to Dirapuk (4,900 m) (12 km, 5–7 Hours)
Begin the sacred Kailash Kora following a beautiful valley with prayer flags, rocky cliffs, and stunning views of Mount Kailash. Reach Dirapuk with magnificent close-up views of the mountain’s north face.
Day 7: Dirapuk to Zutulpuk (4,790m.) via Dolma La Pass (5,630 m) (18–22 km, 9–11 Hours)
The most challenging and rewarding day of the Kailash trek. Ascend gradually toward the sacred Dolma La Pass, the highest point of the journey, decorated with colorful prayer flags. Descend past glacial lakes and rocky valleys toward Zutulpuk.
Day 8: Complete Kora and Return to Darchen (4,670 m) (8 km, 2–3 Hours walk & 15–20 Minutes drive)
Complete the final and easier section of the Kailash Kora through open valleys and river plains. Meet the vehicle near the trek ending point and drive back to Darchen for rest and recovery.
Day 9: Darchen to Zanda / Guge Kingdom Region (3,700–3,900 m) (250 km, 7-8 hours)
Drive westward through dramatic canyon landscapes and remote Tibetan settlements toward the ancient Guge region. The scenery changes into striking clay formations and desert-like valleys unique to Western Tibet.
Day 10: Explore the Ancient Guge Kingdom (3,700 m) (30–50 km, 2–4 Hours)
Full-day exploration of the ancient Guge civilization including visits to Tsaparang Ruins and Tholing Monastery. Explore cliffside caves, monasteries, ancient murals, meditation chambers, and fortress ruins dating back nearly 1,000 years.
Day 11: Zanda to Saga (4,450 m) (450–500 km, 9–10 Hours)
Begin the return journey across the vast Tibetan Plateau. Enjoy spectacular mountain scenery, high passes, remote valleys, and occasional wildlife sightings along the way.
Day 12: Saga to Kerung (2,700 m) (230 km, 6–7 Hours)
Drive back toward the Nepal border through beautiful Tibetan landscapes and descending mountain valleys. Lower altitude and greener surroundings make the journey more comfortable.
Day 13: Kerung to Kathmandu (1,400 m) (175 km, 7–9 Hours)
After completing border formalities, drive back to Kathmandu through the scenic Himalayan highway. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening after completing this extraordinary journey through Tibet and the Himalayas.
