The Raging River (Grade 4 - 5) “Marshyangdi”
The River Marshyangdi is one of the toughest challenging whitewater trip of Nepal. This river is only able to run with those who have previous experience of grade 4 river runs, having good condition of physical fitness and good swimmer. The river originated from Tilicho Lake of main source and from Gangapurna Glacier near Mannang village in undoubtedly great challenging among paddlers of world. Now unfortunately the world class Marshyangdi River got hydro electricity dam some of the most beautiful rapids are gone. Rafting on this river made easy road link of way to Manang and can be organize trip both from Kathmandu and Pokhara. This is the rafting trip for those who are physically fit & already done few river rafting trips. Wild rapids, beautiful views can make your 4 days whitewater trip an exotic holiday for a long time.
3 night 4 days Marshyangdi Rafting
Day 01: Early morning drive to put in point camp about 7-8 hrs
- Rafting gear unload (giving your helping hands)
- Camp site setting (giving your helping hands)
- Drink tea, coffee & chocolate with cookies
- Dinner preparation, after dinner talking fantasy of the day or sleep
Day 02: Wake up be refresh and drink tea, coffee & chocolate
- Have breakfast at camp
- Transfer/portrage/rafting set equipments at upper put in point
- Other stuffs leave at camp site
- Bring changing clothes and put valuable items in dry pack kit
- Arrive at put in point, get raft set ready and pump the boat
- Lunch at put in point and changing clothes
- Safety talk, learn how to sit on raft, hold & row paddle and rafting orientation
- Commence the rafting, by 3-4 PM arrive at camp and end the trip
- Changing clothes drink tea, coffee & chocolate
- Dinner preparation, after dinner talking fantasy of the day or sleep
Day 03: Wake up be refresh and drink tea, coffee & chocolate
- Packing gear first and breakfast
- Changing clothes and put valuable items in dry pack kit
- Remove camp setting & site clean up
- Main luggage & camping gear load in supporting vehicle
- Safety talk and rafting orientation
- Commence the rafting, lunch on the way and by 3-4 PM end the trip
- Camp site setting (giving your helping hands)
- Changing clothes drink tea, coffee & chocolate
- Dinner preparation, after dinner talking fantasy of the day or sleep
Day 04: Wake up be refresh and drink tea, coffee & chocolate
- Packing gear first and breakfast
- Changing clothes and put valuable items in dry pack kit
- Remove camp setting & site clean up
- Main luggage & camping gear load in supporting vehicle
- Safety talk and rafting orientation
- Commence the rafting, end the trip by noon and lunch
- Changing clothes, load the gear & drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara
