Day 01: Arrival in New Dehli (India )

Upon arrival in New Dehli meet tour guide representative in New Delhi airport and drive to Agra (220 kms, 4 hours).

Day 02: Agra sightseeing & fly toVaranasi

After breakfast at hotel, drive to see the Taj Mahal, then visit Agra fort. Afternoon drive to the airport and fly to varanasi. Evening witness Holy Aarti at bank of Ganges.

Day 03: Visit Varanasi & Sarnath

Morning boat cruise at the river Ganges to observe the way of life of pilgrims by the Ghats. Return to hotel for breakfast. Later an excursion to Sarnath. Situated 10 km from Varanasi, Sarnath is one of the four most important Buddhist pilgrimage centres of India. It is the site where Buddha delivered his first sermon to his five disciples, preaching the middle path for attaining 'Nirvana'. Realizing the sanctity of the site, emperor Ashoka, in the 3rd century B.C. built some of the finest monuments and legacies. The 34-metre-high 'Dhamekh' Stupa stands as a remarkable structure.

Day 04: Drive from Varanasi to Bodhgaya

After breakfast, you will be taken on a road trip to Bodhgaya (6 hours). Apart from these Buddhist attractions, you will be taken to Ram Chura, Janki temple, SitaKund, Haleshwar Asthan and others.

Day 05: Drive from Bodhgaya to Patna via Rajgir

After breakfast drive to Patna. On the way you will be visiting Rajgir and Nalanda. Visit Saptaparni Cave, hot springs, the Vishwa Shanti Stupa at Rajgir and ruins of Nalanda University, Museum, temples and stupas at Nalanda. Then continue drive to Patna (3 hours).

Day 06: Drive from Patna to Kushinagar via Vaishali

After breakfast drive to Kushinagar and on the way make a visit of Vaishali. Vaishali derives its name from King Vishal and was the capital city of Lichchavi. One of the eight portions of Buddha’s relics is reverentially encased at the Vaishali Stupa, which was received after the Mahaparinirvana. Bhikshu Sangha was organized here by Buddha and was later handed over to his maternal aunt Maha Prajavati Gautami for further caretaking. After visiting Vaishali, drive to Kushinagar (235km, 6 hours).

Day 07: Drive from Kushinagar to Lumbini via Sanauli (Nepal)

After breakfast drive to Sunauli border and then our India side guide will say good bye and Nepal side guide will take over clients from Indian guide at the Border after doing necessary immigration formalities and drive to Lumbini (5 hours). Evening walking tour around Lumbini heritage sites.

Day 08: Lumbini UNESCO world heritage sites tour

Full day guided sightseeing around- visit the most popular Peace Pagoda, Lumbini Garden, Maya Devi Temple, Tara Foundation, World China Temple, Thai Monastery, Burmese (Myanmar) Temple, Nepal Buddha Temple and Dharmaswami Buddhist monastery. The tour will be on foot and rikshaw.

Day 09: Fly from Lumbini to Pokhara

After breakfast visit Davis fall, Gupteshwor cave and Tibetan refugee camp. Afternoon drive to airport and fly to Kathmandu.

Day 11: Kathmandu sightseeing

Day 12: Drive to Namobuddha & Bhaktapur sightseeing

After breakfast drive to Namobuddha (40 KM east from Kathmandu). Namobuddha is one of the iconic places for those who are interested to visit Buddhist sites. Then drive back to Kathmandu, on the way visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square which is rich in the arts and architecture from medieval time.

Day 13: Fly from Kathmandu to Paro (Bhutan) & drive to Thimphu

If the time permit you will visit Downtown market in Thimphu.

Day 14: Drive from Thimphu to Punakha

Morning visit the Zeleukha Nunnery, Tashichho Dzong, National Library and Memorial Chorten of the Late King Jigme Dorjee Wangchuk in the heart of Thimphu town and The Tashichhodzong, 'The fortress of the auspicious Religion. Afternoon drive to Punakha (77 KM). On the way you will cross Dochula Pass (3100 meters) and visit Druk Wangyal Monastery.

Day 15: Punakha Sightseeing & drive to Paro

Day 16: Paro to Taktsang Lhakang excursion tour

In the morning visit Kyichu Lhakhang Monastery, then drive to Sartsham Chorten and then 3 to 4 hours hiking (2 hour of horse riding - optional) take you to the Taktsang cafeteria. The a short hike takes you to the famous Taktsang Lhakhang also known as the Tiger's Nest Monastery. In afternoon visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong.

Day 17: Fly from Paro to Kathmandu and then fly to Lhasa (Tibet)

You will be transfer to Paro airport, fly to Kathmandu on early morning flight. Upon arrival at airport transfer to afternoon flight to Lhasa, Tibet. You have to make sure that your flight from Paro to Kathamndu is early in the morning, otherwise you may need to this day in Kathmandu and fly to Lhasa in the next day.

Up on arrival at Gonggar Airport meet our Tibet tour official representative, complete the custom and immigration formalities and drive to Lhasa city (3656m). It takes around 45 minutes to reach the main city center. Checking in your hotel, be refresh, rest for acclimatization to get fit with Lhasa’s high altitude.

Day 18: Guided sightseeing tour in Lhasa

After breakfast meet your guide transfer to visit Potala Palace. This is the main attraction of Tibet forever and it is an impressive structure of Tibetan architecture. The Potala Palace has various types of Tibetan arts and crafts collection which are some many centuries of old. After visiting this outstanding Dalai Lama’s palace transfer to visit popular Drepung Monastery is the largest of all Tibetan monasteries and is located on the Gambo Utse mountain, five kilometers from the western suburb of Lhasa.

Day 19: Guided sightseeing tour in Lhasa

Early morning after breakfast brief on the day’s program by your guide and proceed tour to Sera Monastery, Norbulingka, Jokhang Temple and the Barkhor Square. The famous Sera Monastery allows you to get an insight into the important aspects of Tibetan Buddhism where you can observe nuns and monks are chanting and performing religious discourses together. Drive to visit to Norbulingka palace which is summer retreat of the Dalai Lama. The palace building construction completed in 1956 and it is elaborately decorated with Tibetan wood carvings and paintings. After visiting this historic monument head to Jokhang Temple and explore rich Tibetan cultural heritage of this site as well visit city center of Barkhor market.

Day 20: Day trip to Ganden Monastery & Drayerpa Cave

After breakfast meet your guide transfer to visit Ganden Monastery (53 kms, 1.3 hours). Ganden Monastery or Ganden Namgyeling is one of the "great three" Gelug university monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1409 by Je Tsongkhapa Lozang-dragpa. Explore the Drayerpa Cave, a hermitage built on a hillside of the mountain at the altitude of 4885 meters. The hermitage is composed of many meditation caves of many master yogis including Emperor Songten Gampo and Guru Rimpoche and several of his disciples. After the trip drive back to the hotel in Lhasa.
