Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal for Nepal Bhutan tour

Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, complete the custom and immigration formalities and meet our tour official representative. Then drive to the hotel and evening free time on you own. Once you are at the hotel, we will brief about the Nepal Bhutan Tour!

Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu city

Enjoy a full-day guided sightseeing tour around Kathmandu city. You will visit Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square; some of Nepal’s most famous cultural attractions and UNESCO world Heritage sites.

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Paro and drive to Thimphu (Bhutan)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Paro, Bhutan. Upon arrival, meet our official tour representative and drive to Thimphu (65 km – 2 hrs), the capital city of Bhutan. Transfer to the hotel, refresh, and receive a briefing about the tour program. In the afternoon, visit Changangkha Lhakhang, the Painting School, and Buddha Dordenma.

Day 04: Thimphu Sightseeing - Punakha

After breakfast, meet the tour guide at the hotel and embark on a full-day guided sightseeing tour. In the morning, visit Zeleukha Nunnery, the National Library, and the Memorial Chorten, built in honor of the Late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. Then, explore Tashichho Dzong, the “Fortress of the Auspicious Religion.”

After lunch, drive to Punakha (77 km). En route, pass through Dochula Pass (3,100m), which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas.

Day 05: Punakha Sightseeing – Paro

In the morning, visit Punakha Dzong, the former capital of Bhutan, beautifully situated between the Phochu and Mochu rivers. Explore Wangdi Dzong, Chimi Lhakhang Temple, and Punakha Suspension Bridge.

Afterward, drive to Paro. En route, visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest Dzong in Bhutan. In Paro, explore the National Museum and Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong), a magnificent fortress built in 1644, showcasing traditional Bhutanese architecture.

Day 06: Tiger Nest Monastery Hiking and Sightseeing

After breakfast, meet the guide and drive to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan. Then, continue to the hiking starting point for the journey to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). The hike takes approximately 4 hours uphill (optional: 2-hour horseback ride available). Stop at the Taktsang Cafeteria for refreshments before continuing to the monastery.

After lunch, descend slowly back to the Paro Valley and return to the hotel. Later, visit Drukgyel Dzong and explore the local market. If interested, you may also enjoy a traditional hot stone bath at a local farmhouse or visit Namgay Artisanal Brewery to taste the local Bhutanese beer.

Day 07: Fly from Paro to Kathmandu (Nepal) & Sightseeing

In the afternoon, visit Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Kathmandu Valley.
